You can work with Uptown in two ways: we can prepare the full design and permit drawing package for you to build with your own trades, or we can manage the project from concept through construction with one accountable team.
All permit packages are prepared by licensed architectural technologists and coordinated with the required consultants so your submission is clear, complete, and ready for municipal review. We provide a full submission package — architectural, structural, and mechanical — in one complete set, ready for submission.
Concept & Design
We start with your property, goals, budget, and requirements — developing the layout, massing, and exterior design so the project is functional, buildable, and aligned with what you want to create.
Architectural Drawings
Detailed drawings for permit and construction — floor plans, elevations, sections, details, zoning coordination, and Ontario Building Code compliance. These form the foundation of the permit package.
Permit Package
One complete package for municipal submission — architectural, structural, and mechanical / HVAC design, plus consultant coordination. Organized for homeowners, builders, and contractors to submit and build from.
Construction & Build
For full project delivery, we manage and build — coordinating trades, schedules, and site work from permit approval to completion. Because we know the drawings and the build, we design with buildability in mind.

Already have your own builder, contractor, or trades? We can provide the design and permit package only — ideal for builders, investors, and homeowners who need a complete, coordinated drawing package ready for permit submission and construction pricing. Architectural, structural, and mechanical in one submittable package.

Uptown Developments is a Toronto-area design-build firm creating unique & functional spaces. We are licensed architectural technologists — we can design your project from scratch and build it to completion.
Most projects involve a designer, then a separate builder, with a translation gap in between. We close that gap. The same people who draw your project are accountable for building it, so intent doesn’t get lost between the page and the site.
